The Entertainment Lab Pty Ltd is an international sports and entertainment company based in Sydney, Australia founded in 2020 by Producer Dustin Lockett. The Entertainment Lab produces and promotes quality entertainment from intimate theatre shows to large scale stadium events and everything in between.

DUSTIN LOCKETT

Dustin has had a distinguished career in the sports, tourism and entertainment industries spanning over 20 years in executive positions with companies such as BBC Studios, FremantleMedia, International Management Group (IMG), Seven West Media, Global Action Sports, TEG and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).

Dustin was previously the Director of the Live Events division (RED Live - Events & Touring) at Seven West Media, which he joined to set up in 2014. While at RED Live, he co-produced and promoted a wide range of shows, including Dynamo Magician Impossible National sell-out tour, Ghost The Musical, The Beast play, Better Homes & Gardens Live and most notably the most successful international tour of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in 2016 selling out 5 stadium shows to over 155,000 fans.

Dustin was also the Commercial Director for BBC Studios in Australia and New Zealand. Leading the team that produced BBC Earth’s Planet Earth 2 and Blue Planet 2 Live Symphonic Spectaculars, Deadly 60 Live, Michael Mosley, Ross Kemp & Louis Theroux Live Tours, and the World Premiere of Andy’s Amazing Adventures Live On-Stage Tour and launching the global sensation BLUEY to the world across all brand platforms including live touring.

As the VP of Live Events at FremantleMedia Australia, Dustin was responsible for launching MasterChef and Grand Designs Live shows, along with the hugely successful and World Premiere of QI Live show with Stephen Fry and The X Factor Australian tours. He was also responsible for creating and launching Roller Derby Xtreme sports tour. 

As the QLD Sales & Marketing Manager for IMG (International Management Group) Dustin was responsible for managing the Gold Coast Indy Carnival’s commercial revenues for a number of years across sponsorship and hospitality.  He has also worked on some of Australia’s biggest events including Bathurst, Australian Golf Open, Mastercard Masters, Sydney Tennis International, Surf Lifesaving’s Surf Sports events, Fashion and Lifestyle events and the NRL’s Gold Coast Titans.

Dustin’s other commercial roles include Director of Sales & Marketing at Wonderland Sydney Theme Park and Director of Business Development at the World acclaimed NIDA (National Institute of Dramatic Art) and most recently as the General Manager Commercial at the 2023 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup which resulted in the most successful World Cup to date.
